At the Boston Globe's initiative in the Ocean State, maria caporizzo is Deputy Editor of Globe Rhode Island. She has worked at newspapers in southeastern New England since 1997, including 15 years at The Providence Journal, where she was managing editor, digital, responsible for the digital report, from breaking news to developed multimedia projects, across all platforms. Earlier in her career, she worked at daily and weekly newspapers in Rhode Island and Connecticut.
