About
Shanna Kelly is the mobile applications producer, managing the Globe app and news alerts. She joined The Globe as a news producer in spring 2022. Before that, Kelly was a copy editor and fellow for a nonprofit Latin news site and a freelance editor for an English and Spanish wire service. A New Jersey native, she founded a news organization in a New Jersey news desert. Kelly has a master’s degree from Columbia Journalism School and a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University’s Honors College in journalism, Spanish, and translation and interpretation. Kelly has studied in Spain three times and loves learning about other cultures, countries, and languages — her latest being Korean.
