It sometimes seems as if a new building goes up every week in Somerville, especially in that buzzy enclave known as Assembly Row. The latest is the new Row Hotel, which hosted a grand opening celebration Thursday — an occasion to show off its sleek, stylish interiors and can’t-miss location.
The official opening of the 158-room hotel, one of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection properties, drew a throng of partygoers, including Colwen Hotels president Julie Scott, Somerville alderman Katjana Ballantyne, Federal Realty VP Patrick McMahon, Seaport Hotel and Seaport World Trade Center GM Jim Carmody, Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau chief Pat Moscaritolo, Colwen design manager Meaghan O’Neil and marketing VP Matt Tobin, Massachusetts Convention Center Authority executive director David Gibbons, Leo Xarras of XSS Hotels, and Pinnacle Advisory’s Rachel Roginsky.
